America.... Dead or alive?

We live in a society of misfits, self-aggrandizing underdogs and tramps. We live in a society that has taken moral decency and the pre-requisites for a civil society and turned them on their head. We have replaced hard work and integrity, thrift and saving with pre approved credit lines and instant gratification without responsibility. We have lied to ourselves and told ourselves that we deserve affluence without hard work. We have told ourselves that we are special, extraordinary and special when we have accomplished nothing. We are selfish and vain, we are slothful, disingenuous and petty.

In 75 years we have gone from the greatest generation to the worst.

In 75 years we have gone from being the shining beacon on the hill, a standard of liberty and decency to the world, to a society that has embraced a mentality of handouts and free government cheese.

Walk into any Starbucks at peak hours and you will see exactly what i mean. The coffee shop of today is fundamentally different then the one of 40 years ago. The days where we show up to work on time, clean shaven and in a suit or blouse are quickly coming to an end, These norms and standards are going the way  of the nuclear family, civility and honesty....Extinct

A few days ago Mitt Romney blasted the President for lying to the American People about healthcare. Really Mitt? Did you come up with that conclusion on your own because....where the hell have you been? The fact that we are lied to everyday by our politicians isn't what concerns me anymore, what concerns me is that no one cares. We have accepted dishonesty as the status quo and have encouraged the corruption through complacency.

The sad truth is that our dis functional government is 100% the fault of the American people for falling asleep as powerful money and banking interests hijacked our system of representative republicanism (Yes America was never supposed to be a democracy, that is a progressive lie that you have been conned into accepting as gospel, America was born as a republic) and have co-opted our parties.

The first step is admitting we have a problem. America and her culture is in serious jeopardy.

I would submit America and her culture are already dead.

I am hopeful for the rebirth of this great nation. We have a chance to bequeath our posterity with the same blessings of freedom, liberty, free markets and individualism that our forefathers fought, bled and died for. This rebirth will never happen unless we first become our best selves, then educate ourselves on history and the issues, and then share what we have learned. This is the first steps that we must take.
