In his most recent radio broadcast (Heaven only knows how he has time for trivial things like keeping in touch with his constituents in between his arduously hectic schedule of golf and pandering to Hollywood elites and corporate donors) he falsely ascertained that in America, health care is not a privilege but a right? For a "constitutional scholar and professor" he sure is a dumbass....constitutionally speaking of course.
Please Mr Obama, show me where the hell in ANY legislative document, charter or law it states that an American has a right to healthcare? What a ludicrous lie and a dangerous one at that.
Scores of Americans and in particular Obama supporters are increasingly becomnng ignorant to the American system of free market capitalism, and whats more concerning is the blind faith these lemmings place in the mounds of spoon fed dribble the Government propaganda engine known as the main stream media promulgates as "news".
There is no question that all of us feel the tug on our heart strings when we hear about the tragic cases of individuals and families not being able to receive life saving health care because of financial restraints. This is a horrible dilemma that is tragic and certainly in the civil society a situation that needs to be dealt with. The main problem with central socialized healthcare is the prostitution of intellectual private property. We as Americans are founded, indeed we are ardent proponents of, the acquisition and protection of private property. In fact if we were to examine the original deceleration of independence as originally penned by James Madison we would see that the founders and framers were very concerned with the protection of individually owned private property including but not limited to intellectual private property. (The preamble to the US Constitution originally used the verbiage "Life Liberty and Property "instead of the current iteration that is "Life Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness")
The problems with Universal healthcare are more complex then politicians and bleeding heart socialists are either capable of dealing with or prepared to be honest about. Socialized medicine at its core is unconstitutional and immoral. Why? Simply put socialized medicine assumes that doctors and healthcare practitioners do not have a right to their intellectual private property, aka their knowledge of medicine.
The American system of government cannot force anyone to give of their time or talents or resources without the expressed consent of said citizen. Single payer universal healthcare is intellectual property theft, not to mention a tool of wealth redistribution and a cleverly disguised catalyst for class warfare.
