"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Society is a system of institutions, and these institutions offer man safety, morality, order, entertainment, education, they promise truth, protection, unity, conformity, fulfillment, progress and enlightenment. Of all the institutions that exist, there is one that touches every aspect of our lives, it is fundamental to our civilization, and without it, society would cease to exist. This institutions takes on nearly religious proportions and yet, only a handful of us truly understand the inner workings of this system. We are kept in ignorance either by choice or political collusion and apathy. We are misled to believe that the inner-workings of the economy are far too complex for us to understand, and so we wake up every morning and go to work where we trade time for money and hope to pool enough together to finance a lifestyle that we do not own, a lifestyle that we rent.
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
-Henry Ford
Money is debt, and debt is money.
